A number of schools across Northern Ireland have been closed today due to adverse weather. A further weather warning for ice was issued by the Met Office for parts of Northern Ireland, which remains in place until 10am today, January 10. The warning is in place for Co Antrim, Co Down, Co Derry, and Co Tyrone.

A fresh yellow warning for snow and ice has been issued for parts of Northern Ireland from Wednesday afternoon until Thursday morning. The warning is in place for counties Antrim, Londonderry, Fermanagh, and Tyrone from 16:00 GMT until 11:00 GMT.

The Met Office has issued new weather warnings for parts of the UK, with yellow warnings for ice and snow in place until Friday morning. The two new warnings cover parts of Northern Ireland and Wales as well as areas in north-west England and the east of England - they come after an existing warning for snow and ice in parts of northern Scotland.

The Met Office has issued fresh weather warnings for ice after huge areas of the UK were hit by heavy snow. Parts of southern Scotland, the northeast, Yorkshire and East Anglia have been issued a yellow warning for ice that will run from 4pm Thursday to 10am on Friday.
