When Brad Townsend asked Doncic what his feelings were towards the Mavericks' highly controversial GM Nico Harrison, the primary initiator of the trade to the chagrin of both Mavericks fans and Doncic's teammates, the soft-spoken Slovenian superstar was honest in his response.

Kidd was unaware that Harrison was shopping Doncic. Harrison reportedly had nearly a month of dialogue with Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka about the move. Not once did he tell the coach he thinks he’s aligned with about what was in the works behind the scenes.

During Luka's introductory press conference on Tuesday, Lakers GM Rob Pelinka mentioned Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison by name, saying he was "instrumental" in making this trade happen. I don't think Pelinka meant this in any sarcastic way, but it's impossible to thank someone you just robbed and not sound a little condescending.

The deal is done, Luka Doncic is now a Los Angeles Laker and Anthony Davis is now a Dallas Maverick. With the dust starting to settle after the massive trade, some of the national sports outlets have dished out grades for each side’s return.

Nico Harrison was a relatively unknown name on Friday. Now, he'll always be known as the general manager who traded Luka Doncic.
