Under the leadership of Dusty May, it looked like Michigan was poised to become the next juggernaut in the Big Ten, and while that still might be the case, the Wolverines definitely hit some stumbling blocks with recent road losses to Minnesota and Purdue.

Rutgers top freshmen Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey lead the Scarlet Knights against No. 8 Michigan State in Big Ten basketball action, Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at Madison Square Garden. Harper suffered an apparent ankle injury and did not play much in the second half.

The Michigan State Spartans have won their 12th consecutive game, taking down the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, 81-74, at Madison Square Garden on Saturday. This is just MSU’s fifth win at MSG in program history.
