NCP (SP) legislative party leader to be chosen in a joint meeting of members of the legislative assembly and the legislative council

Announcing the appointments, NCP (SP) state president Jayant Patil stated that his party has not decided it's legislative party leader in the meeting and that can be done during the assembly session. One of the 10 MLAs, Sandeep Kshirsagar from Beed, didn't attend the meeting due to prior engagement.

NCP (SP) named Jitendra Awhad as its group leader in the Maharashtra legislative assembly on Sunday. Debutant MLA Rohit Patil has been made the party's chief whip. This decision was made at a meeting for newly elected MLAs.
