As rescue crews recovered victims of Israel’s strike on Beirut, Israeli warplanes launched a withering attack on Lebanon’s south amid fears of wider war.

More than 60 people were also wounded in the attack, of whom 15 remain hospitalized. Search and rescue are ongoing and the number of casualties will likely rise.
