Greg Abbott threatened to pull funding from Texas Children's Hospital after a doctor's viral video suggested a work-around to an executive order.

The post comes after Tony Pastor, a doctor at Texas’s Children’s Hospital and assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine, posted a TikTok, that has since been deleted, in which he encouraged patients to not answer whether they are a U.S. citizen on their intake form at the hospital.

Gov. Greg Abbott threatened to pull funding from Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine after a doctor in Houston said patients don’t have to answer whether they’re U.S. citizens on intake documents.

"Hey Texas Children’s Hospital & Baylor College of Medicine this doctor is putting your Medicaid & Medicare funding at risk. [You] better think twice & have crystal clear records," Abbott wrote on X.

After a Texas doctor went viral for advising patients to skip the U.S. citizenship question on intake forms, Abbott seemingly threatened to rescind state funds.
