Comcast Corp. shares fell as much as 9.9% to their lowest in more than two years after the company reported fourth-quarter revenue and profit that beat Wall Street’s expectations but subscriber losses in its broadband unit raised concerns among investors.

Comcast surpassed fourth-quarter revenue estimates on Thursday as blockbuster holiday releases, including "Wicked", more than made up for a larger-than-expected decline in broadband customers.

Comcast has announced the launch of an ultra-low latency Internet service for its Xfinity customers, bringing a reduction in lag for users.

In a press release today, the company introduced what it calls a first in the nation -- ultra-low-latency internet designed for gaming, videoconferencing, and virtual reality. The technology has been in testing since 2023.

The new technology is based on a standard called L4S, which can significantly reduce latency to help things like video games feel smoother.
