Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster have both declared states of emergency for counties affected by catastrophic flooding and road damage in the past two days.

Governor Henry McMaster issued an executive order, declaring a State of Emergency to assist South Carolina’s response to flooding in the eastern Midlands and portions of the Lowcountry. The executive order activates the South Carolina Emergency Operations Plan and supplements ongoing and possible future state response efforts.
