Ever heard of Blackout Wednesday? How about Drinksgiving? Local bars — and law enforcement — are preparing for this holiday-before-the-holiday.

(WBNG) -- The night before Thanksgiving is often referred to as, “Blackout Wednesday.” It’s widely known for being one of the biggest drinking days in the United States. With so many people drinking, whether it’s at a bar or home with friends, there is an increased risk of people getting behind the wheel under the influence.

Many prepare for Thanksgiving by celebrating with friends the night before. But police warn you need to do it safely.

Three people died early Wednesday and one person was taken to the hospital in a fiery Cybertruck crash in Piedmont, a day before Thanksgiving. "It was my favorite movie as a kid, and I watched it so much I memorized it.
