Yes all of the beaches are accessible by foot. Many bars and restaurants to choose from and the walk up to the Monastery is worth it for the view. Hope this helps.
We are in port from 7 until 3. We wer ehoping to come here and enjoy the area. I know we can take the bus which will take about an hour to get here, and back depending on traffic. Do you think this is doable? Thoughts?

Yes you will easily get to see the World Cup games - when I was in Paleokastrista a couple of weeks ago - bars etc were getting ready for the football. Hope this helps.
